Tiny Tush Trim OS Fitted Review

Fits:  Newborn to 35+ pounds

Price Per Fitted:  ★★★★☆  This diaper retails for approximately $14.95 and you can buy them directly from Tiny Tush right now for $12.50.  Plus, Tiny Tush has great savings, the more you buy, the more you save!  And since these are a One-Size fitted, this can be a very economical choice.

Absorbency:  ★★★★★  This fitted is the most absorbent fitted that I tested for this event.  Nothing could get through this bullet proof fitted!  The 100% cotton fabric held all of the pee that my daughter could give it and she is a heavy wetting toddler!   I used this fitted with the additional insert and without, both are bullet proof.  However, this diaper is a little bulky and the additional insert just makes it bulkier.

Fit:  ★★☆☆☆  This diaper features a 3 snap down rise in order to change the rise from newborn to toddler and giving this diaper one-size technology.  While my child is a toddler and I use this diaper on the highest rise, I did snap this diaper down to see what it would look like on the smallest setting.  I was surprised to see that this doesn't bulk the diaper up too much and that the snap in insert still fits well.  This diaper has one row of snaps across the entire front of the diaper so that you can find the perfect snap setting for your baby as well as cross over tabs for small waisted babies.  With this many snap options, you are able to find a great waist fit.  This diaper also features back elastic and leg elastic to hug baby and contain mess.  When I received this diaper, I was amazed by the softness.  However, after washing, the cotton material became stiff and does not want to move with baby.  Also, add the stiffness of the fabric to the crotch being wider than many other diapers, and my daughter had a hard time straightening her legs and walking in this diaper.  I would have given this diaper 4 stars up until I actually put it on my child.  But her comfort is very important and she just was not comfortable in this diaper.

Ease of Use:  ★★★☆☆  With only one row of snaps, this diaper is not too challenging to get on.  It does take a time or two to figure out which snap setting is right for your child.  My biggest concern is the ease for my baby.  She did not like being in this diaper at all as she could not straighten her legs and had a hard time walking.  I have some concerns as to how this would fit a younger/smaller child.

Washing:  ★★★★☆  This diaper washed well.  Most stains came out very easily with only one small stain remaining.  Also, since it is a snap diaper, there were no laundry tabs to worry about.  I was a little disappointed that the fabric became so rigid and stiff after washing and added to my daughter’s discomfort.

Overall Performance:  ★★★☆☆  This fitted is #1 for absorbency.  However, my daughter did not seem to be comfortable in this diaper at all.  The crotch is far too wide and bulky for her to move in.  Adding a cover to the mix just seemed to make it worse for her.  I really wanted to love this fitted, but it just did not work for us.

Total Stars:  21/30

  1. Great review. I've searched so hard to find a review for this diaper and so far you are the only one that I have been able to find.
I bought one to try before finding your review because I heard that it was very absorbent and a great option for night time. I guess I will have to see how it works when the baby gets here. Hopefully I use it and see if the same thing happens to my diaper (becomes stiff after washing a few times).
