Sandy's Fitted Review - Mother-Ease Giveaway

Newborn Fits:  6-12 pounds
Small Fits:  8-20 pounds
Large Fits:  20-35 pounds
Toddler Fits:  35-40 pounds

Price Per Fitted:  ★★★★☆  Depending on the size and the color/fabric, the price of this fitted does change.  The range from newborn to large is $10.75 to $15.50.  The toddler sizes range from $13.50 to $17.25.  The majority of the sizes and fabrics are around $12-$13 which makes this a very affordable fitted. While Mother-Ease does make the newborn and the toddler sizes, many children would only need a small and a large to get from birth to potty.  You can buy this fitted from Kelly's Closet, affiliate link to right, or direct from Mother-Ease Cloth Diapers.

Absorbency:  ★★★★★  This fitted is SUPER absorbent.  I used this diaper with and without the additional liner and my daughter could not pee enough to leak.  This fitted is bullet proof and makes a great night time diaper!!!

Fit:  ★★★★☆  I struggled with how to rate this diaper for fit.  This fitted is made of super soft/stretchy/comfy terry.  For baby comfort, this fitted gets 5 stars.  There is comfy stretchy elastic the entire way around the waist and the legs making this fitted hug to your baby to prevent leaks/explosions but it is not too tight to dig into baby.  There are two reasons why I gave this fitted only 4 stars.  One is due to the fact that this fitted has side snaps.  I have a history of not liking side snaps, and I still don’t.  But this is the first diaper that it didn’t bother me as much.  I believe that the side snaps on this diaper actually make it more comfy for baby.  However, there are not as many adjustment settings to get a great fit on baby.  And second, while this diaper is HIGHLY absorbent and bullet proof, you do have to be EXTRA careful when putting the cover over this fitted.  There is extra fabric around the leg elastic and the crotch of this diaper is particularly wide.  Therefore you have to be very careful to tuck everything into the cover to avoid wicking/leaking.  This diaper does take a little more effort than others to make sure that every part of the fitted is in the cover.

Ease of Use:  ★★★☆☆  As mentioned above, I am not in love with side snaps and the diaper does take some extra attention to make sure that everything is tucked into the diaper.  In these two ways, this diaper does take a little more time and TLC to get it on.  Once you get used to checking the details, this diaper is a breeze!  But you do have to be extra cautious that you do with other fitteds.

Washing:  ★★★★☆  This diaper washes very well.  I have two of these diapers, one is the unbleached cotton and one is a bleached inner with aqua outer.  The unbleached cotton one does not have one stain and washes like a dream!  The bleached inner/aqua one shows light staining from use.  I do believe that a little sunning will take care of these very faint stains, but they do show.  Since it is a snap diaper, there is no other fuss when doing laundry, just toss it in!

Overall Performance:  ★★★★☆  Overall, I love this diaper.  It is highly absorbent and when the liner is added, it is completely bullet proof.  However, this fitted does require a little extra effort when putting it on to make certain that everything is tucked into the cover and does not leak.

Total Stars:  24/30
